TREE NEWS update: Iran’s foreign ministry summoned British ambassador Hugo Shorter on October 1 to protest what it called Britain’s “unfounded” accusation that Tehran was involved in an alleged plot to attack the UK’s RAF Fairford base. Deputy Foreign Minister Ravanci told the ambassador London must give a formal explanation and correct its position. Iran also protested what it described as the UK government’s continued “destructive practices” toward Tehran.
