TREE NEWS update: Pakistani security officials said Indian border forces shot dead two Pakistani civilians near the India-Pakistan border in Kasur district, eastern Punjab, on the 2nd. Three villagers had just crossed a boundary marker when Indian personnel opened fire without warning, killing two and wounding one, the officials said, adding that the villagers were unarmed. Pakistan said the action violated border agreements and standard operating procedures.
