TREE NEWS update: Egypt’s House of Representatives voted unanimously on the 26th to authorize President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to deploy troops to Saudi Arabia for defense purposes. The vote followed two emergency sessions last week that failed to reach agreement, making this the third meeting on the matter. The decision grants the president formal parliamentary approval to send Egyptian forces to the kingdom.
