TREE NEWS update: South Korea’s Financial Services Commission announced a pilot to validate tokenization of listed stocks centered on the Korea Exchange (KRX), following NYSE and Nasdaq models. Unlisted stocks will be tokenized via trusts. The three-stage roadmap begins with the Tokenized Securities Act in February 2027, initially covering private funds and unlisted stocks for institutional investors, later expanding to public offerings and on-chain settlement after stablecoin legislation.
