Gene-Edited Pig Kidney Transplant Sets 285-Day Survival Record

A patient with a gene-edited pig kidney transplant has survived 285 days without dialysis as of Sept. 3, setting a new record for the longest survival after a pig kidney transplant in a human. The previous record was 271 days, after which the patient received a human donor kidney.
