European STOXX 600 edges up 0.16%, weekly loss 0.7%

TREE NEWS reports: The pan-European STOXX 600 index closed provisionally up 0.16% at 650.11 points on Friday, but posted a weekly decline of about 0.7%, forming a V-shaped pattern. The eurozone STOXX 50 rose 0.22% to 6,396.07 points, down 1.3% on the week. The FTSE Eurofirst 300 gained 0.13% to 2,597.63 points.
