TREE NEWS update: On September 5, authorities in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou, Gansu, announced they filed cases against 6 companies for illegally using fruit-green food additive when dyeing lettuce during purchase. The inspection covered 53 vegetable purchasing and storage operators. Other operators received collective warning talks, and a countywide probe into vegetable growing, purchase, transport and sales is underway.
