TREE NEWS update: China Chemical Engineering Third Construction started the air separation unit for Hengyi Energy Technology’s 2.4 million-tonne-per-year coal-to-ethylene glycol project in Turpan, marking the core supporting facility’s groundbreaking. The project, the world’s largest single-unit coal-to-ethylene glycol plant under construction, is the first phase of Turpan’s 100-billion-yuan coal-chemical-textile integration plan, with a total investment of 25.7 billion yuan.
