Huawei launches tri-fold Mate XT2 smartphone

The launch signals Huawei's continued push in the tri-fold segment, but the lack of specs or pricing leaves the competitive positioning unclear. This matters for the broader foldable market, where hardware innovation often sets the pace for rivals. Watch whether full specifications and regional availability follow, as those will determine if this is a meaningful step or just an incremental refresh. The open question is how the Mate XT2 differentiates itself beyond the tri-fold form factor.
