TREE NEWS update: Finland announced on the 7th the completion of its border fence system along the Finnish-Russian border, with potential future expansion. The Border Guard stated the system, costing about 356 million euros, spans roughly 200 km across dozens of sections of the over 1,300-km border. It includes 4.5-meter fences, technical surveillance, roads, and a 25-meter clearing zone, mostly in the southeast.
