TREE NEWS update: The Dali Haidong tunnel, a key section of the central Yunnan water diversion project, was successfully bored through on [date]. The 25.313-km tunnel, built by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group, is the project’s fifth-longest and traverses geologically complex, high-risk terrain east of Erhai Lake. Its completion strengthens the foundation for full water delivery.
