TREE NEWS update: China’s health authorities have issued a joint work plan for 2026-2030 to improve eye health services. By 2030, the plan targets a cataract surgery rate of over 4,000 per million population, with 95% of counties able to independently diagnose common eye diseases and all counties offering cataract surgery.
