Thai sugar output seen falling at least 17%, China sugar stocks surge

On Sept 8, China’s sugar industry index jumped 5.94%, with Yuegui Sugar and COFCO Sugar hitting the daily limit. Media reports suggest Thailand, the world’s second-largest sugar producer, may see output fall at least 17% next season, intensifying global supply pressure.
