Corning shares jump 7.5% on Verizon fiber deal

Corning (GLW) shares rose over 7.5% to an intraday high of $165.88, the highest since August 17. The jump follows a multi-billion-dollar agreement to supply high-density fiber to Verizon (VZ) over 2027-2032. Verizon shares also rose over 0.8%.
