Companies Rush to US Loan Market to Cut Costs, Fund Deals

At least seven firms launched loan repricing pitches on Tuesday, as borrowers return after the summer lull, including Global Medical Response Inc.’s $2.9 billion offering and Heartland Dental LLC’s $2.5 billion deal. Companies are tapping strong investor demand for high-risk financing amid limited new supply due to scarce M&A. Leveraged loan funds saw their largest inflows since January in the week to last Wednesday.
