TREE NEWS update: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on April 9 it had carried out missile strikes on two US Navy destroyers, the DDG-119 and DDG-53, in response to a US attack on an Iranian oil tanker. The IRGC claimed the strikes caused “severe damage” to the ships, which are equipped with cruise missiles and the Aegis combat system.
