Xpeng Robotics Completes Supplier Audits and Key Component Designations

The shift from design to supplier qualification is the real signal here: audits and designations are what separate a robotics program from a demo, and Xpeng is now committing to a bill of materials and a vendor base. The overlap with Tesla's supplier set matters less as a rivalry story than as evidence that both are converging on the same actuator, hand, sensor and AI-chip inputs — the same Chinese supply chain that scaled EVs.
