Bybit Launches 24/7 TradFi Perpetual Options on TSLA, NVDA and QQQ

Bybit has listed TradFi perpetual options on SPCX, TSLA, NVDA, QQQ and SOXL with 24/7 trading, small-size orders and USDT settlement — no brokerage account needed. The move pushes crypto-native derivatives mechanics onto traditional equities, testing both retail demand and the regulatory boundaries of synthetic equity exposure.

Bybit Brings Wall Street to Crypto Rails With 24/7 TradFi Perpetual Options

Bybit has officially listed TradFi perpetual options, letting users trade contracts tied to SPCX, TSLA, NVDA, QQQ and SOXL around the clock, with small-size orders, USDT settlement and no brokerage account required. The promotional window runs September 28 to October 27, with two reward pools: new users who place a first valid order above 50 USDT in volume can claim 5 USDT (limited to the first 1,000 eligible participants), while a volume challenge unlocks a pool of up to 65,000 USDT shared among the top 50 traders by individual valid volume.

Why This Matters: TradFi Meets Crypto Market Structure

The product sits squarely at the TradFi-DeFi convergence point. By wrapping equity and ETF exposure into perpetual, USDT-settled options, Bybit is effectively exporting crypto-native derivatives mechanics — 24/7 trading, no expiry, no brokerage onboarding — onto traditional assets. That matters for three reasons.

  • Access: Users in jurisdictions where US equity options are hard to reach can gain directional and volatility exposure without opening a brokerage account.
  • Capital efficiency: USDT settlement keeps collateral inside the crypto ecosystem, avoiding fiat on/off-ramp friction and letting traders reuse stablecoin balances across strategies.
  • Market structure: Perpetual options remove expiry-driven roll costs, a feature popularized in crypto and now being applied to equities — a genuine structural innovation rather than a copy of CME or CBOE products.

The inclusion of SOXL, a leveraged semiconductor ETF, signals Bybit is targeting high-beta, retail-friendly instruments where crypto traders already have appetite and familiarity. NVDA and TSLA are the two most-traded single names among retail crypto-adjacent audiences, making them logical loss leaders for a broader equities-perps suite.

Risks and Regulatory Overhang

The obvious tension is regulatory. Offering synthetic exposure to US-listed securities outside a regulated brokerage framework invites scrutiny, particularly around how the underlying price feed is sourced, whether the product constitutes a security-based swap, and how the exchange handles restricted jurisdictions. Leveraged products like SOXL amplify both user risk and regulatory attention. Bybit will need robust surveillance, clear disclosure on how contracts are priced and hedged, and geographic gating.

Competition is also intensifying: offshore venues and tokenized-equity platforms are racing to offer similar 24/7 exposure, while regulated players push tokenized ETFs and on-chain equity products.

Forward-Looking View

If adoption holds, expect Bybit to expand the ticker list toward index products, single-name megacaps and eventually tokenized-equity spot. The bigger prize is proving that crypto rails can serve as a parallel, always-on market for traditional assets. That would accelerate the convergence of TradFi and DeFi — and force regulators to clarify how perpetual, USDT-settled equity derivatives should be treated. Watch the October 27 volume tally as an early read on real demand versus incentive-driven activity.
