Abstract Introduces Builder XP Rewards

The signal here is that Abstract is shifting from one-off grants or hackathon prizes toward a recurring, reputation-style incentive layer, which tends to matter more for retaining builders than for attracting them. It affects developers and creators already shipping inside that ecosystem, since a weekly cadence implies ongoing measurement of impact rather than a single application. The open question is how "impact" gets defined and whether points translate into anything beyond recognition — if the criteria stay vague, XP systems tend to reward visibility over substance.
