Solana Spot ETFs See $25M Net Outflow as Bitwise and Grayscale Funds Bleed

U.S. spot Solana ETFs saw a net outflow of $25.08 million on November 6, led by Bitwise's BSOL and Grayscale's GSOL. Despite the daily pullback, cumulative inflows remain strong, but the trend highlights growing sensitivity to market volatility.

Solana Spot ETFs Record $25M Net Outflow

On November 6, U.S. spot Solana ETFs experienced a total net outflow of $25.08 million, marking a notable reversal in flows for the recently launched products. The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) led the outflows with $14.44 million exiting the fund, while the Grayscale Solana Trust (GSOL) saw $5.43 million in net redemptions. Despite the daily pullback, BSOL maintains a cumulative net inflow of $1.109 billion since inception, and GSOL has attracted $122 million in total.

Context and Industry Implications

The outflow comes amid a broader cooling in crypto ETF demand after a strong start to the year. Solana-based products, which began trading in late 2025, initially drew significant investor interest as the first altcoin ETFs beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, the recent outflow suggests profit-taking or a rotation into other assets as market volatility persists.

Bitwise’s BSOL, which includes staking rewards, has been the dominant Solana ETF by assets, but the daily redemption may reflect short-term sentiment rather than a structural shift. Grayscale’s GSOL, a trust converted to an ETF, continues to see redemptions as investors migrate to lower-fee options.

Industry analysts note that Solana’s price action has been choppy, with the token down roughly 15% from its recent highs. The outflows could also be tied to broader risk-off behavior in crypto markets, as traders await regulatory clarity on staking and ETF structures.

Forward-Looking Perspective

Looking ahead, the sustainability of Solana ETF inflows will depend on the network’s ability to maintain developer activity and institutional adoption. The recent outflows are not necessarily a death knell; similar patterns were observed in Bitcoin ETFs during consolidation phases. However, with more altcoin ETFs expected to launch, competition for investor capital will intensify. Market participants will watch whether BSOL’s staking feature can differentiate it in a crowded field. For now, the $25 million outflow serves as a reminder that crypto ETF flows remain highly sensitive to price momentum and macroeconomic conditions.
