TREE NEWS update: Norway’s sovereign wealth fund proposed reducing government bonds in its $2.3 trillion portfolio, saying lower allocations would provide ample margin for liquidity needs. In a letter to the finance ministry on Tuesday, it suggested cutting the share of government bonds in total bond holdings from 70% to 50%. Analysts estimate this could lead to selling about $80 billion in US Treasuries.
