TREE NEWS reports: CFTC data for the week ended Sep 1 showed speculators cut net long COMEX gold positions by 10,504 contracts to 140,811, the lowest in four weeks. Net long copper positions hit a five-week low, while net short NYMEX palladium positions reached an 11-week low.
