Middle East shipping rates jump over 50% as Red Sea crisis persists

Shipping costs on Middle East routes have surged over 50% since late July, with a 40-foot container from Shanghai to Dammam rising from about $6,600 to above $10,000. Logistics firms are adapting with multimodal transport, boosting such exports by 50%, says a Zhejiang-based company.
