China Scraps Mandatory Scrappage Age for Small Private Motorhomes

This is a demand-side deregulation signal rather than a vehicle-spec story: removing a mandatory scrappage age and extending service life for leased motorhomes and trailers lowers the ownership and fleet-renewal risk that has kept Chinese RV consumption shallow. The beneficiaries are domestic RV manufacturers, rental and leasing operators, campsite developers, and adjacent consumer-finance and insurance providers, since longer asset life improves residual values and makes fleet economics more bankable. The open question is whether easing registration and driver-training rules translates into actual road time and campsite capacity, or whether infrastructure and local enforcement remain the binding constraints.
