Meta Unveils Muse Charm AI Keychain With Cameras and Cellular Link

This marks Meta pushing its AI agent out of the app layer and into dedicated, always-connected hardware — a form factor that competes less with phones than with the ambient-assistant ambitions of other platforms. The inclusion of cameras and a fingerprint sensor signals that identity and visual context, not just voice, are central to the pitch, which raises familiar privacy questions Meta has not yet addressed. With pricing and availability undisclosed, whether developers and consumers treat this as a companion or a novelty is the open question.
