NHC: Simon Nearly a Hurricane, Hurricane Watch Issued for Southwest and West-Central Mexico

TREE NEWS update: The US National Hurricane Center said Simon is nearly a hurricane and has issued a hurricane watch for southwestern and west-central Mexico. The watch covers the affected coastal areas as the storm strengthens toward hurricane status, the NHC said.
