TREE NEWS update: Russia’s consumer rights and public health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said on the 15th that it has launched an epidemiological investigation into a suspected mpox case in the Moscow region and taken prevention measures, including identifying contacts and carrying out disinfection. Five people have been hospitalized for medical observation. The agency said its high-tech testing system can detect the mpox virus rapidly.
