TREE NEWS update: The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is evaluating the launch of tokenized UK stocks to broaden capital market access while maintaining shareholder rights and governance standards. It will partner with Payward, Kraken’s parent company, to explore how regulated market infrastructure and digital-native distribution can support tokenized public equities. The initiative, part of LSEG’s modernization plans, is subject to regulatory approval, with xStocks targeted for listing on LSE 24 by 2027.
