TREE NEWS update: China’s Ministry of Water Resources reported that latest drone imagery shows normal water flow in the upper and lower reaches of the former Purupeqiangzangbu barrier lake in Gyirong, Tibet, and in Nepal’s Cuojian River impact crater. Of 14 previously surveyed glacial lakes, 9 slightly shrank and 5 slightly expanded, with overall stability. A small landslide downstream has minimal impact on the river channel.
