US State Dept approves arms sales to Saudi Arabia and Oman

The US State Department approved arms sales to Saudi Arabia and Oman on March 4, with estimated values of $5.75 billion and $188 million, respectively. The Saudi deal includes 5,004 500-pound bombs, 5,000 2,000-pound bombs, and guidance kits, totaling $5 billion, plus 60 Abrams tank engines worth $750 million. Oman will receive F-16 sustainment services and related equipment.
