TREE NEWS update: Agriculture ministers from Poland, Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia on April 4 jointly urged the EU to take immediate unified action to mitigate the impact of severe drought on farmers. At a meeting in Nitra, Slovakia, they highlighted that Poland’s crop output fell at least 20% this year and Czechia faces its worst harvest in 15 years, warning that feed shortages will hit livestock farming.
