Haikou Real Estate: Hukou Holders Get Equal Home-Buying Rights

TREE NEWS update: On September 5, Haikou’s housing authority issued new measures to stabilize the property market. Those registered in Hainan can buy homes on equal terms with residents from the date of registration, effective immediately. Active-duty military personnel in Hainan and employees of companies registered there, who actually work and live in Hainan, are also eligible to purchase one home in Haikou. Families with two or more children may buy an additional home beyond current limits.
