China 50-city rents fall in Aug; top-tier avg up 1.21% YTD

In August, monitored rents in 50 Chinese cities fell in 34, rose in 15, and were flat in 1. The number of cities with rising rents dropped by 9 from July. Among the top 20 rental cities, only 6 saw monthly increases, 6 fewer than July. For the first eight months, average rents in first-tier cities rose 1.21% cumulatively, with Shanghai and Shenzhen continuing to rise month-on-month.
