TREE NEWS update: On the evening of September 7, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Fold, its first ‘mid-fold’ smartphone, positioned between large and small foldables. CEO Lei Jun said the project was initiated two years ago with 20 months of development, making it Xiaomi’s highest-end phone. It features a 5.38-inch external and 7.58-inch internal screen with an aspect ratio near √2:1. The device measures 5.02mm unfolded and 10.68mm folded, weighing 219g.
