Panama Canal may cut daily transits to 29 if rain stays low

Panama Canal Authority’s new administrator, Ilya Espino, said on the 7th that if rainfall in the watershed remains below expectations in the coming months, daily transits could be reduced from 32 to about 29 early next year. The move aims to safeguard water resources amid drought conditions.
