Japan July current account surplus beats forecasts

Japan’s seasonally adjusted current account surplus came in at ¥2,523.1 billion in July, exceeding the ¥2,478.0 billion expected and up from ¥1,396.9 billion in June. The data, released by the Ministry of Finance, indicates a stronger external position for the world’s third-largest economy.
