TREE NEWS reports: China’s total goods trade reached 34.78 trillion yuan in the first eight months of 2024, up 17.6% year-on-year, accelerating 0.3 percentage points from the Jan-July pace, customs data showed on Sept. 8. Exports rose 14.6% to 20.17 trillion yuan, while imports grew 22% to 14.61 trillion yuan. In August, trade expanded 19.8% to 4.65 trillion yuan, with exports and imports up 18.6% and 21.7%, respectively, marking the fourth straight month of double-digit growth for both.
