TREE NEWS reports: China imported 19.492 million tonnes of copper ore and concentrate in the first eight months of 2024, down from 20.063 million tonnes a year earlier, customs data showed. August imports of unwrought copper and copper products stood at 382,000 tonnes, down from 425,000 tonnes in July, while copper ore imports rose to 2.508 million tonnes from 2.38 million tonnes.
