TREE NEWS update: China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning declined to confirm on September 8 which official will represent China at the upcoming BRICS summit in India this weekend. Responding to a question from AFP, Mao said China values BRICS cooperation and supports India in hosting the leaders’ meeting, but had no information to provide on the specific representative.
