South Korea court acquits ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol in obstruction case

The Seoul Central District Court on September 11 acquitted former South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol at first instance on charges of helping criminal suspects evade judicial prosecution. The ruling covers the case alleging Yoon abused his position to shield suspects from investigation and prosecution. The court issued the not-guilty verdict at the close of the first-instance trial.
