Exit Poll: United Russia Leads State Duma Vote With 49.4%

TREE NEWS reports: Russia’s ruling United Russia party took 49.4% of the vote in the country’s ninth State Duma election, according to an exit poll released on the 20th by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation placed second with 14.2%. The Liberal Democratic Party, New People and A Just Russia rounded out the third through fifth places.
