TREE NEWS update: South Korean presidential chief of staff Kang Hoon-sik tendered his resignation to President Lee Jae-myung on the morning of the 21st, the presidential office’s senior secretary for public communication, Sung Ki-hong, said at a press briefing the same day. Lee has not yet decided whether to accept the resignation and is expected to make the call after wrapping up a trip to the United States and Mexico on the 27th.
