Bitget’s Q3 Volume Hits $1.86T as Tokenized Stocks and AI Trading Take Center Stage

Bitget's Q3 2026 report reveals $1.86 trillion in total trading volume, with significant growth in derivatives and spot trading. The exchange expanded its Unified Trading Account to include tokenized U.S. stocks and upgraded its Proof of Reserves to cover 19 assets, signaling a push toward TradFi-DeFi convergence.

Bitget Reports Record Q3 Volume and Expands Tokenized Asset Offerings

Bitget’s Q3 2026 transparency report shows total trading volume of $1.86 trillion, with monthly volumes growing 21.2% from July to September. Crypto derivatives volume reached $409.19 billion, up 31.5% quarter-over-quarter, while spot trading surged 65.7%. CFD volume hit $376.32 billion, a 39.7% increase.

Product Innovation: Unified Account and Tokenized Stocks

The exchange launched a cross-asset Unified Trading Account (UTA) that includes over 370 assets in a single margin system, including more than 100 tokenized U.S. stocks with collateral valuation ratios up to 95%. This move blurs the line between traditional finance and crypto, allowing users to trade and collateralize tokenized equities alongside digital assets. Bitget also extended its AI trading tool, GetAgent Playbook, to tokenized U.S. stocks and introduced Cash Plus, a stablecoin yield product.

Security and Transparency: Expanded Proof of Reserves

Bitget has published monthly reserve reports since December 2022, now totaling 47 consecutive reports with all asset reserve ratios above 100%. In Q3, the exchange upgraded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) mechanism to cover 19 major assets, up from four cryptocurrencies. Users can now verify reserve ratios, reserve sizes, and on-chain distribution, and independently verify their holdings via Merkle Tree.

Industry Implications: Convergence and Competition

Bitget’s report highlights two key trends: the growing demand for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and the integration of AI in trading. By offering tokenized U.S. stocks as collateral, Bitget is positioning itself at the intersection of CeFi and DeFi, potentially attracting traditional investors. The expansion of PoR to 19 assets also raises the bar for transparency, as exchanges face increasing regulatory scrutiny.

However, challenges remain. Tokenized stocks require robust legal frameworks and custody solutions, and regulatory clarity is still evolving. The reliance on CFDs, which are banned in some jurisdictions, could pose compliance risks. Moreover, the AI trading tool’s performance in volatile markets remains to be tested.

Forward-Looking Perspective

As crypto exchanges diversify beyond spot and derivatives, Bitget’s strategy reflects a broader industry shift toward multi-asset platforms. The success of tokenized stocks and AI tools will depend on regulatory acceptance and user adoption. If Bitget can maintain its transparency and security standards while navigating regulatory hurdles, it could set a precedent for others. The coming quarters will reveal whether this integrated approach yields sustainable growth or introduces new complexities.
