US Stocks Rise as ADP Jobs Miss Signals Fed Pause

US stocks rebounded Wednesday after ADP reported August private payrolls grew by just 38,000, below the expected 48,000 and the weakest since January. The Dow rose 0.56%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq each gained 0.46%, ending a three-day losing streak. Treasury yields fell and gold rose. However, CME FedWatch still shows a 62.3% chance of a September rate hike, ahead of Friday’s official jobs report.
