BOJ leaning toward 25bp rate hike this month, sources say

The Bank of Japan is leaning toward raising its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points this month to address upside inflation risks. Officials will discuss the hike and see inflation risks as tilted to the upside, with rising services prices and a weak yen strengthening the case. A 50bp move is unlikely as the economy is broadly in line with expectations.
