TREE NEWS update: Liu Min, chief engineer of China’s State Administration for Market Regulation, said at the 2026 World Power Battery Conference that preventing ‘involution-style’ competition has been incorporated into the comprehensive rectification framework. Jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, the administration will continue capacity early-warning regulation, standardize price competition, and strengthen product quality supervision to build a market environment of quality-first, fair competition.
