Where Web2 ends and Web3 begins
On a Web2 platform your account lives in someone's database and can be frozen or deleted. In Web3 the account is a key pair you hold, and the assets attached to it move only when you sign. That is the real difference — not tokens, not price charts. Everything else (DeFi, NFTs, DAOs) is an application built on that base.
Remember The base layer is a ledger nobody owns — everything else is built on top of it.
