Musk Says SpaceX Is a Superintelligence Company, Will Rename SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI
AI take
The rename signals that Musk wants SpaceX's AI arm framed as a superintelligence venture rather than a conventional AI unit, which matters less for the space business than for how the broader Musk portfolio is positioned to talent and capital. Given no timeline or terms were disclosed, the practical effect is rhetorical for now, and the open question is whether the SpaceXSI framing translates into separate fundraising, staffing or governance distinct from the existing SpaceXAI entity.
