US, Venezuela sign oil project agreements

Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodriguez met US Energy Secretary Chris Wright on September 2, after which the two nations signed multiple cooperation agreements. The deals include oil expansion projects with Chevron and other firms. President Trump announced the US gains majority control over over 65 billion barrels of Venezuela’s proven reserves. Rodriguez said the 25-year pact targets crude output of 1.5 million barrels per day.
