Analysts see China’s August CPI up 0.7-0.9%

Chinese economists expect the August CPI to rise 0.7-0.9% year-on-year, maintaining moderate inflation, while PPI gains may ease. Zhu Keli of Guoyan New Economy Research Institute forecasts CPI at 0.7%, citing pork price stabilization, fresh vegetable gains, and resilient services spending. Sun Binbin of Caitong Securities sees 0.9%, noting weak consumer demand may limit upside.
